It\’s my world, join me, won\’t you?

A little bit about knitting, a little bit about my family and anything else I feel like writing about :-)

I apologize for the delay!! Sorry!! And the winner is…..

Mandyharris!  I will contact you shortly to arrange delivery of your prize.  Congratulations and thank you to everyone who participated and sent me ideas for my Christmas projects.  I received 12 different pattern ideas and they can all be found in the comments on the past few blog entries.  As soon as DD’s sweater is complete, I will start my knitting, and I am sure to use these patterns.

Speaking of DD’s sweater….I just finished the front this evening after putting DD to bed early (no nap fairies in this house make for an EARLY bedtime–yippee!!).  I plan on knitting the two sleeves at the same time so I will need concentration for that,  hopefully after a trip to the beach and aquarium, I will have requisite nap fairies to do just that.  Her two year molars are finally coming in and it is tough on everyone around here!  I’m still anxiously awaiting my ravelry invite.  As far as I can gather, people post pics of their stash on there–is that correct?  It would be an enlightening, interesting and yet scary proposition to do that, but I would totally take up the cause and do it.  It would take me forever, though.  And I just organized my yarn, too….Oh well, one can never touchy feely the luxurious fibers too much, can you?  Speaking of, I probably should re-prioritize my to do list as well.  Since I am putting all sweater projects for myself on hold while I am in Weight Watchers and trying for some serious weight loss, I need to figure out some other projects that I can make for myself and keep me happy.  I already mentioned that I would love to make myself a shawl–only problem is, one pattern after another just look prettier and prettier.  How do you choose?  I’m also a little worried about having to weave in ends and thought about knitting from a cone of yarn–what’s the best one for that?  Research, must do research.

Well, it’s getting late and we are meeting friends at the aquarium in the morning for some fun so I need some sleep.  Blog at ya real soon and keep those comments coming!
